Rufus

 

 

Rufus is Prince El’s squire.  He believes that it is his life’s calling to protect and serve the prince and will do anything for the man who he sees to be his friend as well as his master.  Rufus doesn’t trust the Prince’s spy, Hu, and feels that El should be more cautious in his choice of friends. 

 

Whilst El is a romantic, Rufus has his feet firmly on the ground.  He has an unfailing loyalty to El and fits perfectly into the role of a Squire.  However, he is not very trusting and puts his trust solely in the Prince and no one else.
